SydMetro is a consumer information app focused on Sydney Metro M1 journeys. The app is designed to help users view live departures, alerts, planned maintenance information, direction inference, Station Live Activity information, and last service information.

SydMetro is provided for personal, non-commercial use unless SydMetro gives you separate written permission.

If you downloaded SydMetro from Apple's App Store, you also acknowledge that your use of the app is subject to any applicable App Store usage rules and device requirements. Apple is not responsible for SydMetro's content, maintenance, or support.

SydMetro is an independent app and is not Transport for NSW, Sydney Metro, or a government transport operator. References to Sydney Metro services, M1, stations, alerts, and planned works are descriptive only.

SydMetro depends on third-party data sources, external APIs, website infrastructure, device services, and network connectivity.

Because of that:

• live departure times may be delayed, incomplete, or unavailable
• alerts and planned maintenance information may change without notice
• direction inference may be unavailable or incorrect if location data is unavailable or imprecise
• Station Live Activity information may be delayed, unavailable, started incorrectly, or not started if location permissions, iOS background services, push services, network connectivity, or live data sources are unavailable
• the app may temporarily show fallback information or no live information

You should not rely on SydMetro as the sole source for time-critical, safety-critical, or emergency travel decisions.

Some SydMetro features depend on device location permission. Direction inference can work while the app is open if you allow location access. Station Live Activity is optional and requires Always location permission so iOS can notify SydMetro when you are near your saved Home Station or Work Station.

You can deny, disable, or change location permissions through iOS settings. If you do, SydMetro may use fallback information and location-dependent features may be unavailable.

You agree to use SydMetro only in lawful ways and only as intended by these Terms of Service.

You must not:

• use SydMetro to violate any law or regulation
• interfere with SydMetro's normal operation
• attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, overload, scrape, or abuse SydMetro's live service infrastructure except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law
• interfere with or abuse SydMetro's Live Activity delivery infrastructure
• use SydMetro in a way that harms SydMetro, its operator, its providers, or other users
• misrepresent SydMetro as an official transport operator product

SydMetro and its original software, design, branding, text, and compilation of app content are owned by or licensed to Rishi Singhal and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Subject to these Terms of Service, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use SydMetro on Apple-branded devices you own or control, solely for personal use.

This license does not transfer any ownership rights to you.

SydMetro may rely on third-party services, open-source components, external infrastructure, and transport information providers. Those items may be governed by separate terms, licenses, or policies.

SydMetro may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time, in whole or in part, without notice.

If you breach these Terms of Service, your right to use SydMetro may terminate automatically.

SydMetro is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by law.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SydMetro disclaims warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and reliability.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rishi Singhal will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, loss of goodwill, loss of profits, or travel-related loss arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, SydMetro.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, any liability arising out of or relating to SydMetro will be limited to the amount you paid to obtain the app, which for a free app is zero.

Nothing in these Terms of Service excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

These Terms of Service may be updated from time to time. The "Last updated" date above indicates when this version was last revised.
